NO DIG, NO RIDE
Trails require care. This includes moving dirt to fix erosion, clearing debris, and trimming overgrowth. Without volunteers putting in the work, trails can fall apart or become unsafe. And let’s be real... without volunteers, that pesky fallen tree would really get in the way of your Strava PR. Ever finish a ride at a neglected trail with your arms and legs all scraped and itchy? Overgrowth doesn’t trim itself, unfortunately.
“No dig, no ride” doesn’t have to mean showing up for a work day. It also means being an advocate. Share the work day post, encourage others to get involved, or drop off some Gatorade for the volunteers that are working in the summer heat. You could even lead a fundraiser or plan an event. Everyone’s busy, we get it. But even an hour or two of your time can make a huge difference and help prevent dedicated volunteers from burnout. Plus, it's a pretty great feeling to ride a trail knowing you helped build or maintain it.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering!
